Introduction to the OptiPrep Methodology
Application Sheets
There are four indexes
described below:
Cell-index - 51 Application Sheets; comprising 4 on gradient management and 47
on the purification of different types of mammalian and non-mammalian
cells.
Macromol-index - 13 Application Sheets; comprising 5 on gradient management;
and 8 on proteins, RNA, DNA and polysaccharides, protein complexes and
protein-nucleic acid complexes, proteoliposomes and plasma lipoproteins.
Submem-index - 67 Application Sheets; comprising 9 on gradient management and
ancillary techniques (e.g. homogenization methods). There are 58 on the
purification different types of mammalian and non-mammalian subcellular
membrane compartments and organelles.
Virus-index - 38 Application Sheets; comprising 5 on gradient management; one
on purification strategies and 32 on purification of animal and plant cell
viruses and bacteriophages. These Application Sheet indexes are presented on
pages 2-14 of this document.
Reference Lists
There are four indexes
described below:
Cell-index - this comprises 9 types of mammalian cells.
Macromol-index - 2 files include proteins, RNA, DNA and polysaccharides,
protein complexes and protein-nucleic acid complexes, proteoliposomes and
plasma lipoproteins.
Submem-index - this comprises 15 files and includes all major organelles and
subcellular membrane compartments from mammalian cells, plants, algae, fungi,
protozoa and also membrane vesicles from bacteria.
Virus-index - this comprises 8 files and includes 62 viruses listed according
to the Baltimore Classification system. Plant cell viruses and bacteriophages
are also included. Because of the huge number of rAAV papers Group II is split
into two sections RV02-1 and RV02-2. These Reference List indexes are presented
on pages 15 and 16 of this document
